It may sound a bit overly simplistic to someone who is currently overwhelmed by anxiety and sadness, but you can make great strides against the divorce blues by following a few straightforward, uncomplicated guidelines. The road to a happier and healthier tomorrow begins with a few, small steps. These five simple tips provide a great place to start.

  1. Don’t be too hard on yourself

Nobody’s perfect, and you must learn to become comfortable with your own imperfections. Some days, you will inevitably fall a bit short of your intended goals. Instead of being hard on yourself on these days, try showing yourself a little compassion and understanding. Any genuine effort to make changes for the better will inevitably become a challenge. Stave off any negative thoughts fraught with fear and doubt that might get in your way.
